Install Maya.
Connect your Claude.

Maya runs on your own Mac and edits with Claude Code, signed in with your own Claude account. Your footage and your Claude plan never leave your machine.

1

Check you have what it needs

A Mac and a Claude Pro or Max plan. The installer sets up everything else for you.

macOS 13 or newerClaude Pro or MaxHomebrew~2 GB free space
2

Paste your licence key

It unlocks the download and holds your edits. No key yet? Buy edits.

3

Run one command in Terminal

It installs ffmpeg, the speech model and Maya, installs Claude Code if you don't have it, then opens Claude's sign-in in your browser.

Terminal

Takes about 5 minutes the first time (the speech model is ~550 MB). Run it again any time to update Maya; your edits are kept.

4

Open your editor

After installing, type maya-editor in Terminal, or use the button. The editor runs privately at localhost on your Mac.

If the button doesn’t open, start the editor first: type maya-editor in Terminal.
How Claude is connected

Your login stays with Claude.

Signing in happens on claude.ai through Claude Code's own claude auth login. Maya never sees your password or tokens; it simply asks Claude Code on your Mac to do the editing. Each edit uses your Claude plan's usage.
